Palliative Care National Clinical Guidelines Workshop
The objectives of the day were to:
- increase awareness and understanding of the two National Clinical Guidelines on pharmacological management of cancer pain and management of constipation in palliative care
- present recent findings on a national point prevalence study examining pain and constipation in patients receiving palliative care and recent audit findings
- share experiences of implementation of the guidelines
- examine enablers and barriers to implementing the guidelines in participants’ settings
- explore how participants can support implementation in their settings
- raise awareness of tools and resources to support implementation
